Note:-

The Garmin GPS60 is a basic handheld unit ideal for tracking Points Of Interest (POI). It as most GPS Units can be hooked up to a laptop and used with mapping Software for Live mapping, Route planning, Speech Turn by Turn Directions etc.

The Garmin c320 is a basic Car Navigation Unit and comes loaded with City Navigator Australia - This also enables you to download Mapsource, nRoute and POI Loader. The stand alone unit provides Speech Turn by Turn Directions and when hooked up to a Laptop using Mapsource & nRoute allows Route planning Live mapping etc. Being the basic unit it has limitations in not being able to upload tracks & Route information into the unit (i.e. stand alone it cannot be set up to go to a destination via certain waypoints - obviously you could make your destination the first waypoint then reset your destination as the second point etc.

Be aware the "Find" feature for the likes of Places to Eat, Servo's etc. is very limited due to the lack of such information on the sensis maps, I am however impressed with it's ability to find addresses etc. (providing the street names are correct on the sensis maps) The POI Loader provided by Garmin does allow you to load POI files and share these with others hence the Inspiration for Including GPS information on this Site.

The c320 is also limited in not being able to easily Mark your current location. It does however allow you to "Set Home" with My Current Location so with a little fiddling you can rename the previous home location and set home at the next Point of Interest etc. I prefer the GPS60 for ease of marking POI's (or running with the laptop connected for serious stuff)
